Let’s Encrypt is a new certificate authority that is completely free, open and automated. We are now starting to offer free Let’s Encrypt certificates to all of our customers using a new Nginx plans even on the shared environment. We are doing this because we believe all sites should be using https and because it’s also needed to use HTTP/2.
Our setup uses TLS 1.0, TLS 1.1 and TLS 1.3 and the old vulnerable SSL versions are disabled. We have also set it up only with ciphers that provide forward secrecy. Our setup gets a A+ rating in the SSL Labs test. Only very old browsers that you shouldn’t even be using anymore won’t work because they don’t support SNI (server name indication) and forward secrecy.
If you need a EV certificate with extended information you still need to buy one yourself and use it in your virtual server and we’ll be glad to assist you with it.
